- On SATURDAY, AUGUST 10, come celebrate (again!) with fabulous tenor saxophonist and vocalist Juli Wood as she releases “Suomen Salossa”—by popular demand, *another* album of jazz adaptations of Finnish folk music! In the hands of her fine quartet, these tunes swing as much as one could hope for, and the moods of the old country find new expression in this great American art form. On this particular evening, the album personnel of Juli on sax, Paul on guitar, and Mike Schlick on drums will be joined by special guest bassist Clark Sommers, one of the finest of the Chicago scene.
