With the NYE-tet at the Jazz Estate, Milwaukee, WI

On NEW YEAR’S EVE, SUNDAY, DECEMBER 31, Paul does double duty at Milwaukee’s central jazz club – first playing the mellower warm-up set (from 8:30 to 10:00 p.m.) in a duo with wonderful Madison bassist John Christiansen, then as part of Eric Jacobson’s special NYEtet to ring in the New Year! This main-event lineup will play from 10:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m., and will include shining new star of the Chicago scene Lenard Simpson on alto sax (returning to his hometown for the occasion) and swingin’ stalwart David Bayles on drums, besides Eric on trumpet, Paul on guitar, and John on bass.
